What? URDU is putting on a public debate!
Where? Sloan Auditorium in Goergen
When? Wednesday 12 October, 7pm (tomorrow!)
This House Would attach teacher compensation to student performance.
URDU members Karimu Mohammed and Levan Bokeria will be affirming the motion, and Nina Datlof and Alap Patel will be opposing the motion. Audience members are welcome to give a short floor speech either in favor or against the motion following the debate. We will be modeling the proposal roughly after the recent adoptions we have seen in states like New York, Florida and others.
Do you think a teacher’s income should be connected with how well their students do on standardized tests? What does this say about the education system? Come find out both sides to the issue!
