West Virginia University Novice/JV Nationals Policy Tournament

In the first weekend of March, a few of our policy debaters have decided to travel all the way to West Virginia so that they can once again compete in what could be described as a challenging, but mentally fulfilling tournament. Even though we didn’t have too many people come to the tournament from our team, spirits were high for the rest of the journey. We actually had the team of Reefat Aziz and Bethany Gardner make it to quarterfinals and get some speaker awards!! Congrats to them! Hopefully, everyone who went to West Virginia can benefit from the experience, whether they were judging or competing, everyone learned something new. And that’s the most important lesson you can take away from coming to that tournament: the desire to learn keeps getting bigger and bigger as the URDU keeps on challenging themselves by going to tournaments!
